Scarsdale Chinese School (华文学校)

HX Scarsdale Chinese School (华文学校) is a nonprofit, Chinese language education institution that works for our communities. The programs integrate excellent and innovative instruction in Chinese language with a curriculum that incorporates linguistics, literature and culture. We offer our students great opportunities to learn Chinese with native language professionals in small class sizes, and continually engage them in an online Chinese-speaking world to reinforce their classroom learning. The online learning is customized and task-based fun activities that our students enjoy interacting learning throughout the academic year.  

The School admits students aged 6 and up of all ethnic background. We offer Chinese as Secondary Language (CSL), Standard Chinese and AP Chinese, and will adapt new programs to meet the evolving needs of our students.

Teaching methods and Tuitions:
Group Lessons:  $1,050 per year (flat fee). Classes run from 9:00 am to 11:00 am on Saturday: Chinese langue learning and cultural activities in Chinese. (The class sizes are at 5 to 10 students.  When less than 5 students registered for a course, the school reserves its rights to change or cancel the course): 
 

Chinese as Secondary Language (CSL)
  Standard Chinese
* Beginners - level I, II and III
* Intermediate - level I, II and III
* Advanced- level I, II and III
  Cultural activities- Chinese calligraphy/painting, Origami and Paper cutting, etc.
  Science- Advanced mathematics
  Communications  Chinese (Adults only)
